Beyond The Crown

 

With just a little bit of effort, a dash of determination and a whole lot of heart the dream of a little girl sitting curbside watching parades hoping to one day make a difference has turned into the Albertville Royalty Program's Beyond The Crown Initiative.

It was during our first meeting with the newly selected 2016-2017 court that "Beyond The Crown" was introduced. Alongside a schedule with dozens of parades and community events we planned to extend the volunteerism of our program with this brand new initiative. What we didn't know than was all of the places it would take us, the opportunities it would present, the lessons it would teach us and the memories we will forever cherish because of it.

During the first five years of the Beyond The Crown Initiative groups were honored to help many different organizations and non-profits from many close to home in St. Michael Albertville to those across the states and beyond.

 

In 2020, that same little girl sitting curb side accepted an award from the Ronald McDonald House, an organization near and dear to the hearts of those who have served Beyond The Crown. Alyssa was nominated and selected as a "Heart Of The House" recipient. Every other year the Ronald McDonald House staff nominate individuals and groups that go above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of families who stay at RMH and exemplify their mission. Over 10,000 submissions were made of which up to 20 were selected by the executive leadership team and CEO as Heart of the House Recipients.

To celebrate 5 years and in an effort to dive deeper the annual "Beyond The Crown Ball" began in 2021. This event was created to kick off each season which would be filled with opportunities to continue to give back to the organization we always have and announce the spotlight organization the initiative would focus on in the coming year.

. As we continue this impactful initiative we look forward to the opportunity to reach further, to dig deeper, and to give more generously because we know, with just a little bit of effort, a dash of determination, and a whole lot of heart can go a long way!
